Upgrades will be tied to your citizen, so by playing the game you can make your NFT more valuable! The tokens you earn will also be tradeable on a DEX. With your tokens, you will also be able to purchase Citizen Invitations, which allow you to bring more citizens to the game and passively earn a % of their earnings. Keep in mind, inviting other citizens will be expensive to keep the population low! There will also be a burn mechinism to make sure overpopulation is never an issue. Only these 10,000 citizens and and the rare few given out in giveaways will be able to invite new citizens, so if you want to be able to generate $SOCY passively, you need to participate in this sale!
Your NFTs will be safely stored on the Solana blockchain and the IPFS. You will own the copyright to the NFT you own.
