SolShades was made with exactly that in mind; we are a multiversal NFT with verified ownership in both the digital and physical realms through the power of NFT and NFC technology. Holders will not only be able to wear these shades in the meta, but each holder of a SolShades NFT will be eligible to receive a real life pair of shades corresponding to their SolShades NFT at no additional cost.

Each Solshades holder will have the opportunity to receive the physical version for each pair of ownership soon after launch with no trade-in required- just proof of ownership. Each pair comes with an integrated RFID chip connecting the shades to its corresponding NFT on the blockchain. Why SolShades?
Introducing wearable tech to Solana
We are using SolShades as our first project to dip our toes into something big. When deciding on an object to introduce this new technology, it only made sense to begin with the most clouted accessory in the Solana ecosystem: the Solana Sunglasses.
If you are a true Solana fan like ourselves, you know that these famous sunglasses make an appearance in almost every NFT project in the space.
How Does it Work?
The Hue’s
There will be 5,000 SolShades NFTs on the Solana Blockchain with 5 different color hues.
Each of these will have exclusive airdrops, new item drops specifically for their community, etc. — More information on the specifics will come soon as we build out this project.
Each pair of physical sunglasses will be connected to its corresponding NFTs unique hue and hash using NFC technology.
The RFID to NFT Connectivity

So what is NFC Technology?
Yes NFC, not NFT… 😉
Near-field communication (NFC) is a short-range wireless technology that allows phones, tablets, laptops, and other devices to share data with other NFC-equipped devices easily. If you’ve ever used a key card to access an office building or hotel room, tapped a credit card to pay, used Apple Pay, you’re already familiar with how it works.
Identifying the NFT Hash
An RFID chip is what makes this near-field communication possible. An RFID system consists of a tiny radio transponder: a radio receiver and transmitter.
When triggered by an electromagnetic interrogation pulse from a nearby RFID reader device, the tag transmits digital data, in this instance identifying the NFT hash and directing the reader to the NFT on the Solana blockchain using an explorer.
