This work is an homage to relief printmaking. Other artists have explored the kinship between generative art and print using pen plotters and silkscreen. This work attempts to take the concept of a relief print and apply it to a digital canvas.
This artwork is produced in layers. For each layer, the printing surface or matrix is defined by one set of algorithms. Another set of algorithms then applies the "ink"(imperfectly!) to the matrix. For each layer in turn the matrix is then applied to the canvas.
