The Dallas Symphony Orchestra drops an NFT commemorating the historic performances of Mahler’s First Symphony on Rarible. It was performed by members of the DSO and Metropolitan Opera Orchestra in May 2021.
It was a very significant event because it marked the first time many non-DSO musicians performed for a live audience since the coronavirus shutdown in March 2020. The emotional performance by the DSO and MET Orchestra musicians for a live, in-person audience is remembered by both musicians and listeners for life.
Besides the NFT piece, the purchases will get:
All proceeds from this sale will go to Met Opera musicians impacted by the pandemic. They were furloughed without pay for almost a year during the company’s shutdown.
Add the drop to your calendars not to miss such a special NFT!
