B. James (b. 1987) is an American abstract painter of Italian descent working in oil and acrylic. Paintings focus on a body of geometric works that are completely devoid of any connection to everyday experience and objects, inspired by the notion of the void. Paintings are devoid of any object hood including but not limited to a gestures, representations and figuration. The works provoke introspection and, consequently, a greater understanding of one's relationship to nature.
