mfDAO was incubated in early Q4 2021 with the vision to launch a collective to explore and build the metaverse together for the long-term horizon. WillJackArt, a DC comic book artist, joined the core team and started working on the concept for the genesis collection of mfDAO. Will Jack wanted to establish the identity of the mfbrand as one that is NFT and crypto-native; therefore, Mutant Floki was born from the inspiration of blue-chip collection MAYC and the memetic power of Elon Musk’s pet — Floki.
Following the launch of Mutant Floki, all mfDAO’s genesis members will have the ability to claim ERC-1155 !Nuke. Members will be able to “Nuke” unexplored galactic planets in the metaverse to create new grounds and territories. We have many gamification aspects planned, including, but not limited to an ERC-20 token, galactic wars between rival factions, loot in the form of wl/tokens for “exploring”, and more. However, we are waiting for our DAO governance to be established after mint before setting our roadmap in stone so that our community has the final say in regards to the avenues we explore.
All members will have the option to claim (free for all Genesis mf holders) the second collection of mfDAO: Multi Heroes. These new Multi Heroes will create the infrastructure and build the economy in the metaverse. This has already moved to the production phase- the team is ahead of schedule, and the art is already underway (check our sneak peeks on Discord).
The Constitution, legislature, and policy of the DAO will be decided by mfDAO’s members through on-chain governance. The community members will be working closely with the core team and our advisor (who is doxxed, has extensive experience with NFT DAO creations, and holds a Ph.D. in organizational structure) to craft and implement all the policies and decisions in regards to mfDao structure and community governance.
Community governance will also select the models for the Meta reserve currency: algorithmic partial stable coins (FXS model), bonding and staking (3,3) currency (Olympus model), or reserve currency protocol backed by bluechip NFTs and minting vault.
Following the genesis launch of Mutant Floki, the Core Team will use mint funds to onboard more team members to work with our artist Will Jack who is deeply connected in the comics world. The team will collab with various cosplay models to promote mfDAO’s brand and also host a private event for mfDAO’s members. We have other IRL perks planned (merch, IRL collections, and partnerships), all to be implemented pending our DAO’s guidance.
