The work depicts a giant-sized women with laser eyes, holding a bull whilst standing over the iconic New York Stock Exchange building. The giant woman steers focus on the ability for mass representation to drive rapid social and cultural change on outdated and dysfunctional existing ecosystems, just as it did with the 1960’s women’s movement. This work specifically points to the revolutionary change occurring in today’s monetary system and pokes fun at an iconic stock exchange being stood over whilst the laser eyes and market bull pay tribute to the raging bullish uptake of the crypto markets now shaking up a stubbornly outdated monetary system.
Whilst in classical blockchain terms, 51% is an attack on a blockchain by a group of miners who control more than 50% of the network's mining hash rate, the artists interpretation with this work is that with a majority, people can control and interrupt the recording of new blocks in a defunked monetary systems status quo and can instead create a hard fork to a new monetary protocol.
