A renowned NFT franchise CyberKongz is preparing to migrate its Play and Kollect NFT game from the Polygon network to the Ronin blockchain soon. Ronin is an Ethereum-linked sidechain built by Axie Infinity’s creator, Sky Mavis, specifically for blockchain gaming. This milestone is accompanied by the launch of an anime-inspired NFT series, Genkai that will serve as CyberKongz’s flagship collection.
The Genkai collection features 20,000 NFTs, journeying through Niakea, with 16,000 available on Ethereum and 4,000 on Ronin. Ethereum NFT holders will have the option to migrate their Genkai NFTs to Ronin at a future date.
When getting your Genkai utility-enabled PFP, you will be assigned to one of six tribes. Being an integral part of the journey of Genkai, tribes will enable all holders to partake in unique gamified experiences. Each tribe represents a location within Niakea; Humba, Senkwekwe, Kabirizi, Rugendo, Bageni, and Neo Kongz. Each tribe stands out with its set of exclusive traits that impact the game.
The public mint for the Genkai collection is scheduled for July 27th with a price tag of 0.25 ETH ($460) per piece while Sky Mavis will reward holders of Mystic Axie NFT with a free Genkai NFT.
It’s interesting to know that the collection will have special traits exclusive to Ethereum and Ronin networks. The reveal will take place within two weeks after the mint day.
