The BRIT Awards is another major event to join the NFT craze. This year's annual festival to celebrate the UK's music industry will be featuring the launch of the BRIT's never-before-seen 13 non-fungible tokens.
For the NFT creation, the festival has partnered with the renowned digital artist MRE. The exclusive collectibles will start dropping on the eco-friendly NFT platform Serenade on February 9th.
The BRIT Awards NFT collection gives the music fans a unique opportunity to become closer to their music favs by owning digital portraits of nominees such as Adele, Ed Sheeran, Billie Eilish, and more.
13 NFTs will be celebrating the 13 winners of the BRIT Awards 2022, who will be announced on the drop's eve, February 8th at the O2 Arena in London. There will be 250 editions of each NFT, priced at £10 each.
With this initiative, BRIT Awards is enhancing the rank of the leaders like Grammy's alongside engaging charity. It's worth noting that 100% of the NFT sales will be donated to the BRIT Trust charity fund.
Another beneficial feature of the future drop is the opportunity to purchase BRIT Awards NFTs via a credit or debit card on the Serenade. Such an initiative makes non-fungible tokens available to people who have never dealt with cryptocurrencies.
“Fans don’t have to know the first thing about digital wallets and crypto to make a purchase on Serenade, they just need to arrive with a credit card and the love of a favorite artist,” Serenade’s Founder Max Shand explained. “The BRITs is one of the strongest global music brands and we couldn’t be more excited to — in the words of Depeche Mode — take music [NFTs] to the masses.”
