Tequila lovers, get ready to own a piece of history as Pernod Ricard joins forces with BlockBar to release special Aviòn tequila bottles tied to NFTs. Dubbed "Avión Lucky Liquid," the collection features 100 limited-edition, numbered bottles linked to a corresponding NFT.
This isn't just your average tequila. Avión Lucky Liquid has been aged for nine long years in a solitary oak cask, previously home to Mexican Cabernet Sauvignon wine. This meticulous aging process has bestowed a reddish tint and distinct flavor profile with notes of cocoa, candied red fruit, peach, cranberry, and pecan nuts.
The tequila is housed in a unique, specially designed bottle featuring gold touches and nods to blockchain technology via hexadecimal. The Lucky Liquid manifesto is encrypted within the bottle, which is held within a box that details the story of the tequila and its nine-year aging process. Each bottle is individually numbered 1 - 100.
Avión Lucky Liquid will be available for purchase from Monday, June 3 at 03:00 PM GMT+1 on the BlockBar marketplace, based on a first-come, first-served format. Each bottle will cost $495 (approx 0.13 ETH). Buyers have the option to pay via their Ethereum-based wallet, credit card, or wire transfer. Note that you will have to join a waiting room in advance to get a chance to purchase a bottle.
By purchasing an NFT, you will own a bottle of Avión Lucky Liquid stored at BlockBar's facility in Singapore. Starting in July 2025, owners can either hold onto the NFT for potential resale value or redeem it for the physical bottle of tequila.
