Otto is a boy with an unusual appearance that no one has ever been able to understand. His face is always bewildered, and his mouth is always wide open as if he's trying to scream, but no one ever understands his silent cry.
Otto lives in a small apartment with his mother, who works day and night to make ends meet. His father left when he was very young, leaving him only a pair of mysterious glasses, which he always carries with him, as a painful yet necessary reminder. Every morning, Otto follows the same routine: he gets up, gets dressed, and tries to hide the grayness he feels inside before saying goodbye to his mother to go to school, walking through the empty streets with his mysterious glasses.
At school, his classmates avoid him and make fun of his appearance. But what they don't know is that Otto has a special gift: through his glasses, he can see a world populated with fantastic and mysterious creatures. Each day, these creatures join him on his imaginary adventures, saving him from loneliness. Otto takes refuge in his world, a reality where he can be whoever he wants, but always and only within his mind.
Every day is a repetition of the last, a routine that seems endless. Yet, Otto hopes to one day find someone who understands him, perhaps so he won't feel so terribly alone anymore.
