The initial interpretation of "Vase with Gladioli and Chinese Asters" by Van Gogh emerges playfully through the use of markers on a white canvas. Without the intention of being utilitarian, the brushstrokes oscillate between aesthetic discomfort and an almost unfinished layer. Painting flowers becomes a way to fill the emptiness of boredom and face the finitude of the day, almost as if preparing for death, even if others do not perceive it. The flowers seem ready for an indefinite funeral, waiting to be hung on any wall, as an attempt to prolong my existence. Remaining in the works is perhaps the only way to be remembered.
