Bored Ape Yacht Club and Coinbase Have Launched the Casting for The Degen Trilogy BAYC Shorts

One of the most prominent NFT market players, Bored Ape Yacht Club by Yuga Labs, is about to conquer another web3 Olymp. The NFT-based community with its own governance token ApeCoin launched recently, is expanding its influence by entering the short films arena.

The new animated series dubbed The Degen Trilogy is a novice endeavor by BAYC and Coinbase. The first short film will premiere at NFT.NYC in June, while the other two series will see the world over the next year.

The series will be launched with the approval of Yuga Labs and correspond with Coinbase's upcoming NFT marketplace. To benefit the decentralized BAYC community, the cryptocurrency exchange will join efforts with the NFT holders, and will potentially become a casting director for the main roles among Bored Apes characters.

All interested BAYC holders can now submit their Apes for consideration via the website's official portal, paired with their personal. After the long process of consideration, the casting director will pick the characters to star in the forthcoming shorts.

“We’ve been inspired by the Bored Ape Yacht Club community and excited to invite them to co-create this film with us,” William Swann, Coinbase’s Entertainment & Culture Marketing Director commented on The Degen Trilogy.

Are you a BAYC holder? Believe in your Ape and drive it to the cinema Olympus. Who knows, maybe it's your fellow Ape, who'll become a star of the new Trilogy!
