Ubisoft Teamed Up with Immutable to Enhance Web3 Gaming Experiences

A renowned game publisher and creator behind such legendary games as Assassin’s Creed, Just Dance, and others, Ubisoft has recently announced its partnership with the leading web3 gaming platform, Immutable. Two gaming giants, namely Ubisoft's Strategic Innovation Lab from the Ubisoft side, are joining forces to bring new gaming experiences enhanced by the power of web3 for players.

Ubisoft’s strength is its skill in creating high-quality video games while Immutable can boast of its knowledge of digital ownership, blockchain-based developments, and scaling. Bringing together their expertise, the two companies are dedicated to integrating blockchain technologies into gaming to make Web3 games mainstream and elevate players' experiences.

If we consider the past achievements of both parties, this strategic partnership has a high chance to significantly advance blockchain gaming. Immutable has a portfolio of celebrated Web3 games like Gods Unchained, Metalcore, and the Guild of Guardians. Ubisoft, in its turn, has developed Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry, known across the globe. In addition, Ubisoft is always at the forefront of innovations and tech trends, including blockchain developments through its Strategic Innovation Lab.

“We couldn’t be more excited to explore with Ubisoft the benefits of web3 and digital ownership for players. We are confident that we will bring to life a fresh new experience that players will love,” James Ferguson, Immutable CEO and Co-Founder said.

Nicolas Pouard, Vice-President of Ubisoft’s Strategic Innovation Lab and Head of its Blockchain Initiative also expressed his excitement regarding this partnership: “As the platform of choice for many leaders within the Web3 community, Immutable offers both cutting-edge technology and a unique expertise in seamlessly integrating decentralized technologies into games. We’re excited to partner with them and look forward to bringing that level of fluidness within a full-fledged game, so players only have to focus on the fun of the experience.”

Currently, it’s still unknown whether the two partners will launch a new web3 game, some kind of NFT-based gamified experience or Immutable will integrate into an existing Ubisoft game in development. However, it’s clear that a powerful union is set to revolutionize the gaming industry, making digital ownership more valuable and accessible for players.
