Every year, the island of Bali undergoes a purification ritual to ward off evil spirits through the Ogoh-Ogoh statue parade on the eve of Nyepi. Local communities build these statues only to set them ablaze after. Intrigued by this ceremony, I captured hundreds of Ogoh-Ogoh images across many Balinese villages. With the artistic input of my friend, Egor Zimin, we transformed these photos into a collection of 70 ethnically inspired artworks.
